Agile Training & Capability Lead in Defence (Active SC)

Location: On-site in Portsmouth and possibly other locations across the UK, three days a week. Candidates must be able to travel to site within a reasonable distance; mileage and/or travel expenses covered.

Purpose: Own the design, delivery, and ongoing development of a defence-sector client's Agile training portfolio (Scrum Master, Product Owner, and general Scrum courses and versions of scaling agile teams such as: Scrum@Scale), while building and protecting client-owned intellectual property so training capability sits internally rather than with an external supplier.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver Scrum Master, Product Owner, and general Scrum training through a mix of classroom, online, and in-work coaching, aimed at both individuals and intact teams.
  • Provide ongoing in-work coaching to embed practices day-to-day, rather than one-off certification delivery.
  • Lead the continued build-out of client-owned training materials.
  • Flag early where external supplier dynamics (capacity, commercial pressure, IP restrictions) could affect the training roadmap, and adjust content plans accordingly.
  • Feed into wider stakeholder conversations on training strategy, representing the practical, delivery-side view.
  • Track and report on training reach and impact (e.g. adoption, team-level outcomes) to support the case for continued investment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
