Ready to deliver HSBC’s next-generation model inventory platform?
Why HSBC
HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world. Guided by our purpose of opening up a world of opportunity, our ambition is to become the world’s most trusted bank globally, putting customers at the heart of everything we do.
The Role
The Agile Delivery Director role is an exciting opportunity to join Risk and Compliance Transformation on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. This role owns the end-to-end delivery of a new Model Risk strategic platform that will be the central inventory for models used in business decision-making, risk management and reporting. The new platform will replace legacy tooling and manage the model lifecycle (Identification & Onboarding, Validation, Approval, Implementation and Monitoring). You’ll deliver a compliant, resilient platform, partnering closely with the Model Risk Management (MRM) team as the system owner. The work supports the Group Model Risk Policy and strengthens control outcomes across completeness, accuracy, timeliness and auditability.
Success means delivering to agreed scope, timeline and budget with strong adoption across model owners and approvers. It also means a controlled migration between Model Risk platforms with reconciled data quality and minimal disruption. You’ll operate in a highly regulated environment with close engagement across Risk, Technology, Audit and regulatory-facing teams. The delivery approach is Agile at scale, coordinating Product Owners and technology teams across value streams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
