Job Summary
Are you ready for a new challenge? Do you want to work in a variety of settings across different organisations? The Agile Research Delivery Team (ARDT) is looking for experienced Nurse/Midwife/AHPs to join a dynamic mobile team. This advert is for a post in the West Yorkshire Region.
The ARDT works across Secondary Care, Primary Care and Wider Care settings, delivering a variety of Commercial and Non-Commercial research studies and trials. The Senior Nurse/ Midwife/ AHP post would ideally suit someone who has experience of delivering research in a dynamic environment and/or experience of community based practice.
These posts will be employed through Leeds Teaching Hospitals with the operational base being Wizu Workspace, 55 St Paul's St, Leeds LS1 2TE.
The ARDT Senior Nurse/ Midwife/ AHP will be required to travel throughout the West Yorkshire region delivering all aspects of clinical and non-clinical research.
This will include managing multiple concurrent projects and research sites, requiring flexibility and adjustment according to demand.
Responsibilities:
- Manages all aspects of study delivery including; screening, recruitment (including obtaining informed consent), delivering interventions, follow ups, data management, sample collection and processing as required, across all specialties and settings.
- Act in accordance with current legislation, including Good Clinical Practice, research governance legislation, and the Data Protection Act.
- Contribute to the leadership and management of a dedicated research delivery and support team, with adherence to Host policies and procedures. This may include undertaking supervision, mentorship and staff reviews to identify training and development needs, and establishing how those needs will be met, and managing performance against agreed objectives.

Why You Should Join Our Team
The NIHR RRDNs have three key roles.
First, to provide support to research sites to enable the effective and efficient initiation and delivery of funded research across the health and care system in England.
Second, to enable the strategic development of new and more effective research delivery capability and capacity. This includes bringing research to under-served regions and communities with major health and care needs.
Third, to work jointly with the Coordinating Centre in the strategic oversight of the NIHR RDN. This ensures that the Portfolio is maintained as a cohort of high-quality, fully-funded, viable and deliverable studies. It also ensures that the NIHR RDN as a whole serves the needs of researchers and R&D teams and is responsive to the changing domestic and global environment for health and care, life sciences and health research.
The Agile Research Delivery Team form part of the Regional Research Delivery Network for Yorkshire and Humber. We support the delivery of research across multiple locations and settings, broadly speaking in Secondary Care and Wider Care Settings.
What You Will Bring To The Role
This post is a community based role, covering the West Yorkshire area, therefore travel is a requirement of the role. The ARDT work both in and out of the hospital setting. Delivering NIHR Portfolio adopted research in Wider Care Settings and the community requires the post holder to have a flexible approach, excellent planning and time management skills.

This is a senior post within the ARDT therefore applicants should be able to demonstrate experience of delivering both commercial and non-commercial research and have knowledge of the legislative frameworks governing safe and effective research delivery.
Applicants should possess the necessary clinical skills required to deliver all aspects of clinical research such as phlebotomy, EGC recording and sample processing.
