Location Overview:

Role Description:

This role is a client facing role and sits within the Global Markets Agreements and Documentation. The candidate is responsible for drafting, negotiation, advising and execution of trading documentation on behalf of Bank of America entities. In this role, you will be working on complex, high impact documentation that directly supports global clients. You will play a key part in enabling efficient client onboarding, supporting business growth and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards, while gaining broad exposure across products and stakeholders.

You will act as a relationship manager for a portfolio of priority Markets clients, serving as the primary point of contact for documentation negotiations across Markets agreement suite. In doing so, you will build trusted relationships and become a go-to advisor for clients navigating documentation requirements. You will develop a close partnership with Sales, Onboarding and other internal stakeholders, giving you a highly visible position within the business and a clear line of sight into how commercial and credit decisions are executed through documentation. Your work will ensure agreements accurately reflect agreed commercial and credit terms while meeting regulatory and policy requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate, draft, structure and advice on a wide range of derivatives documentation including ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, IM documentation and bespoke Collateral agreements; cleared derivatives documentation; GMRA and GMSLA; FBF and Deutscher Rahmenvertrag on behalf of various Bank of America entities.
  • Work closely with Sales, Credit and the Onboarding team to maximize the efficiency of the documentation onboarding of clients.
  • Advise front office, sales and trading, operations risk and collateral on documentation issues arising during negotiations.
  • Act as Relationship Manager for the suite of agreements for a portfolio of high priority clients, serving as the primary point of contact and coordinating the agreement negotiation process across products.
  • Liaise with internal partners and marketers/traders to accurately reflect the necessary credit and business terms in the transactional suite while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and bank guidelines and policies.
  • Update trading agreement and other systems of record.
  • Work on regulatory and other special projects as and when required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated prior related experience in a similar role.
  • Strong substantive knowledge of markets documentation.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while being part of a cohesive team.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and drive execution.
  • Ability to exercise excellent judgment within defined parameters.
  • Significant experience with hedge fund structures and the PB industry.
  • Law qualified preferred but not necessary.
