Agri Sales Specialist

Description

We’re looking for a confident and customer-focused Agri Sales Specialist to join our team. This is a key role in supporting our farming members and shareholders, promoting our full agricultural product portfolio, and driving sales within the branch. If you’re passionate about agriculture and enjoy building strong relationships, we’d love to hear from you.

About The Role

  • Contract: Permanent
  • Hours: Part-time
  • Hours of Work: 20 Hours per week, working Monday to Friday

As an Agri Sales Specialist, you’ll be the trusted partner for our farming customers, delivering tailored advice and solutions that make a real difference. You’ll work closely with retail and external agri sales colleagues to ensure every interaction puts the customer first and reflects our values.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively promoting agricultural products and services to members and shareholders
  • Developing sales with existing customers and attracting new members
  • Delivering honest, knowledgeable advice tailored to customer needs
  • Using campaigns and promotional materials creatively to drive growth
  • Staying informed about local market trends and competitor activity
  • Managing customer records and ledgers to maximise opportunities
  • Supporting seasonal planning and stock optimisation
  • Attending sales meetings and training sessions to keep your knowledge current

About You

  • Knowledge of farming and the agricultural/countryside marketplace (essential)
  • Previous retail or sales experience (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong retail disciplines and a passion for customer service
  • Good IT skills and ability to manage systems accurately
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Awareness of Data Protection/GDPR and Health & Safety standards
  • You’ll be confident, proactive, and approachable, with a flexible and team-oriented attitude.
  • A willingness to learn and grow within a customer-focused sales environment is key
