Are you ready to build your career in the global grains and softs markets? At RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (RWEST), you’ll use your financial agricultural trading experience to identify opportunities, manage risk and contribute to the growth of our physical grains business.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop your market expertise, build trusted relationships and make a meaningful contribution to our expanding agricultural commodities portfolio.
About the role
- Trade financial grains, oilseeds and softs products, taking proprietary positions within RWE’s governance and risk framework.
- Analyse global agricultural commodity markets to identify commercial opportunities and inform trading strategies.
- Work closely with our physical grains traders and analyst to manage hedging positions and align financial and physical market activities.
- Identify and execute structured trading opportunities for institutional clients and counterparties.
- Contribute to the development of our physical grains business by helping to identify new opportunities and strengthen market relationships.
- Build your network across the grains and softs markets to develop market intelligence and deal flow.
- Contribute to smarter ways of working by supporting AI-enabled workflow improvements.

- Three to five years’ experience in financial or proprietary agricultural commodities trading, ideally covering grains and softs.
- A demonstrable trading track record, with experience managing profit and loss and market risk.
- Strong understanding of agricultural commodity markets, trading strategies and structured products.
- Confident use of approved AI tools, with sound judgement over their outputs.
- Ability to make well-informed decisions in fast-moving markets while communicating clearly and collaborating effectively.
- A high-integrity approach, with accountability for your decisions and a willingness to challenge ideas constructively.
Advantageous, but not essential
- Experience pricing or structuring complex derivatives.
- Exposure to systematic or quantitative trading models.
