Are you an Agricultural Engineer, Service Engineer or Plant Engineer looking for a permanent role with a well-established and growing agricultural business?

We are recruiting an Agricultural Service Engineer to join a busy engineering workshop near Ely, supporting the maintenance, servicing and repair of a large and varied fleet of agricultural machinery.

This is a hands-on role combining workshop-based engineering with field service support. You will play an important part in keeping essential agricultural equipment operating safely, reliably and efficiently throughout the year.

The Role

As Agricultural Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of agricultural machinery
  • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
  • Completing planned maintenance and responding to machinery breakdowns
  • Carrying out repairs both in the workshop and in the field
  • Using manufacturer diagnostic software, technical manuals and service information
  • Completing machinery assembly and pre-delivery inspections
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with manufacturer specifications
  • Maintaining accurate service and repair records
  • Supporting the wider workshop and agricultural operations teams
  • Following all Health and Safety procedures

About You

This opportunity would suit someone with experience working as an:

  • Agricultural Engineer
  • Agricultural Service Engineer
  • Plant Engineer
  • Field Service Engineer
  • Heavy Machinery Engineer
  • Mechanical Engineer
  • Farm Machinery Technician

You will ideally have:

  • Experience servicing or repairing agricultural, plant, construction or heavy machinery
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • An understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Basic Microsoft 365 knowledge, including Outlook and Excel
  • A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
  • A full UK driving licence
