Job Description

Are you looking to build a career in agriculture, food production, assurance or certification?

Whether you're a recent agriculture graduate or already have some experience within farming, fresh produce or agricultural compliance, this is an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised organisation and gain exposure to some of the UK's leading agricultural assurance schemes.

At NSF, we help safeguard the food supply chain through the auditing and certification of farms and producers against recognised agricultural standards. As an Agricultural Scheme Operations Specialist, you'll support growers, producers and auditors across Red Tractor, LEAF Marque and GLOBALG.A.P. schemes, while developing valuable expertise in certification, food safety, sustainability and farm assurance.

Full training will be provided, including industry-recognised Red Tractor qualifications, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their career within agriculture.

Responsibilities

Including, but not limited to:

  • Managing the post-audit process for Red Tractor Fresh Produce, LEAF Marque and GLOBALG.A.P. certification schemes
  • Reviewing audit reports and supporting compliance activities
  • Acting as a point of contact for members and auditors, responding to technical questions and certification queries
  • Supporting growers and producers through the certification process
  • Working closely with Scheme Managers and technical specialists to ensure schemes run effectively
  • Managing scheme-related communications and inboxes
  • Assisting with the review of corrective actions and supporting certification decisions
  • Supporting day-to-day operational activities across the Fresh Produce team
  • Delivering excellent customer service to members, auditors and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Experience or knowledge of the UK agriculture sector
  • An agricultural degree or equivalent qualification is a plus
  • Experience with Fresh produce production or grower operations is a plus
  • Experience with farm assurance, food safety, or certification schemes is a plus
  • Strong passion for delivering excellent customer service
  • Confident when dealing with challenging conversations and problem solving situations, with a logical and methodical approach
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and well organised
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workloads for yourself and others
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and open to learning new systems
