Job Purpose
To provide high-quality service, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of agricultural machinery — including tractors, combines, telehandlers, cultivation machinery and ATVs. The role includes workshop tasks and field-based service work on customer farms.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults using manufacturer diagnostic systems and service manuals.
- Perform servicing, PDIs and warranty repairs.
- Carry out field-based service calls at customer sites.
- Maintain accurate digital job cards, service records and timesheets.
- Follow all health & safety procedures and safe working practices.
- Build strong relationships with customers and provide clear technical updates.
- Take part in manufacturer training programmes (New Holland, JCB, Kuhn etc.).
- Support apprentices and junior colleagues when required.
- Keep van, tools and workspace clean, organised and well-maintained.

Person Specification
Essential
- Experience as an Agricultural or Land-based Service Technician.
- Level 3 Land-based Engineering qualification (or equivalent).
- Full UK driving licence (BE trailer entitlement beneficial).
- Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently in the field and within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and a professional customer-service approach.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Experience with New Holland, JCB, Case IH or similar brands.
- Telehandler or forklift certification.
- Previous field-service background.
- Basic IT and dealer system capability.
