Reporting directly to the Agricultural Service Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment associated with Agricultural (but not limited to) machinery that is sold by the company’s sales departments based around the Cambridge area.

Working with Ernest Doe will give you direct access to the manufacturers for support and training, as well as the benefit of working with our own experienced team members.

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Ability to repair and maintain equipment for customers associated with Agricultural or Horticultural machinery and equipment
  • Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical faults using the latest software and successfully carry out repairs which may be chargeable, warrantable or internal type jobs.
  • Lifting heavy machinery, applying common sense to items that require the assistance of special tools
  • Proven experience within the Agricultural or Horticultural industry
  • Able to work alone and on your own initiative
  • Self-motivated
  • Maintain a good general level of health and fitness
  • Good general appearance
  • Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer-facing role
  • Full clean driver’s licence

  • Start Date: Immediate, but subject to candidates notice period
  • Hours: 39hrs per week - 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1-hr unpaid lunch) Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39hrs.
  • Salary: Competitive, depending on experience plus company van
