The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of our friendly and successful team in the Northeast Scotland (SAC Stonehaven). This role will provide support to farming businesses and includes a blend of practical and technical consultant support activities with farm accounts technical data processing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with farmers and their farm business accounts data
  • Performing farm accounts analysis, working in the national team delivering the Scottish Farm Business Survey
  • Supporting consultants in delivery of national programmes and initiatives, including the Scottish Farm Advisory Service and Whole Farm Plan
  • Sampling and data collection, both in office and on farm
  • Possessing good communication and numeracy skills
  • Having attention to detail, and ability to embrace new technical IT systems and methods

Minimum Qualifications:

Good standard of secondary education (SCQF Level 5 or equivalent), or able to demonstrate relevant skills and experience.
