The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 5 years' PQE to join its well-established Agriculture & Rural Affairs team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative and forward-thinking firm renowned for delivering practical, commercially focused advice to clients throughout the region.

Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse and interesting caseload
- Act as a trusted adviser to a broad range of rural clients, including farmers, landed estates, rural businesses, landowners, and agricultural partnerships
- Sales and acquisitions of farms, estates, and agricultural land
- Agricultural and rural property transactions
- Farm business tenancies and Agricultural Holdings Act matters
- Easements, rights of way, and boundary disputes
- Renewable energy projects, including solar, battery storage, and wind developments
- Strategic land and development agreements
- Rural diversification projects
- Agricultural partnership agreements and succession planning
- Landlord and tenant matters
- Working closely with colleagues across Private Client, Commercial Property, and Corporate teams to provide a seamless service to clients
- Developing and maintaining long-standing client relationships through networking and business development activities
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 years' PQE as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
- Previous experience advising on agricultural and rural affairs matters
- Strong technical knowledge with a commercial and pragmatic approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision
- A genuine interest in the rural sector and the challenges faced by farming and landowning clients
- A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for contributing to the continued success of the department
