The company operates a dynamic B2B2C marketplace that connects farmers and agricultural suppliers directly with qualified buyers, reducing inefficiencies in traditional supply chains.
Based in Lincoln, the team of professionals with deep expertise in agriculture, research, technology, agribusiness development, finance, and operations collaborate to improve productivity.
Role Description
This is a hybrid internship role based in Lincoln, with flexibility for some work from home. The Agtech Product and Business Development intern will support research and analysis of market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings in the agrifood and agritech ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Support farmer onboarding and pilot activities
- Build relationships with agricultural organisations
- Conduct user research and gather feedback
- Assist with product testing
- Help create marketing content
- Support grant reporting and impact measurement
- Collaborating with cross-functional team members to improve digital tools and marketplace features. The intern will help identify and engage potential partners, suppliers, and customers, prepare presentations and proposals, and contribute to outreach and relationship management activities. Daily tasks may also involve gathering user feedback, monitoring performance metrics, and supporting the refinement of programs that enhance farmer education, market access, and digital adoption.

Who We Are Looking For
- Student or graduate in Agriculture, Business, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field, prior internship or project experience in agtech or startup environments is a plus.
- Strong communication skills.
- Passion for innovation and sustainable agriculture.
- Self-motivated and eager to work in a startup environment.
- Comfort working with digital tools and platforms, familiarity with marketplaces, SaaS products, or agtech solutions is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to diverse audiences and contribute to reports and marketing materials.
- Skills in research, data analysis, and problem-solving to assess markets, user needs, and product opportunities.
- Basic product development or product management skills, including requirements gathering, documentation, and collaboration with technical and business teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative, adaptability, and attention to detail.
