Assistant Headteacher – SEND & Inclusion
L9–L13 | Full Time | Permanent
Anglesey Primary School, Birmingham
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced leader to join our SLT as Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for SEND & Inclusion.
This role includes leadership of our Speech & Language Resource Base and two enhanced provisions for pupils with Autism (ASD), alongside whole-school responsibility for SEND, EAL and vulnerable learners.
We are looking for a leader with:
- Strong SEND and inclusion experience, including complex needs
- Experience of specialist provision or resource bases
- Proven leadership and ability to drive school improvement
- A commitment to high expectations for all

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a leader who:
- Has a strong track record of improving outcomes for pupils with SEND, particularly those with complex needs
- Has experience of working within or alongside specialist provision (e.g. resource bases or enhanced provisions)
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of inclusive pedagogy, communication needs and autism
- Has experience of leading staff, driving improvement and delivering impactful CPD
- Is confident in analysing data and using it to inform strategic decision-making
- Builds strong, professional relationships with pupils, families, staff and external partners
- Is committed to our values of Ambition, Pride and Success
