We’re looking for a curious, hands-on AI & Automation Executive to help Silver Cloud turn its AI ambitions into practical, measurable improvements across the business.
This is an exciting early‑career role for someone passionate about artificial intelligence, emerging technology and automation. You’ll work across our consulting practices and central functions to identify opportunities, experiment with solutions, and help colleagues use AI confidently and responsibly in their day‑to‑day work.
You’ll become Silver Cloud’s developing internal AI subject‑matter expert - bringing challenge, insight and fresh thinking into how we operate, deliver projects and support clients.
Essential
- A degree, or equivalent practical experience, in artificial intelligence, computer science, data science, business technology, information systems or another relevant subject.
- Evidence of additional learning in AI, generative AI, machine learning, automation, data or a related area through academic study, online courses, certifications, personal projects or practical experimentation.
- Practical experience of using generative AI tools to research, analyse, create, automate or solve problems, gained through academic study, employment, internships, personal projects or independent experimentation.
- An ability to quickly learn and evaluate new technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in understanding how processes work.
- An analytical approach, with the ability to assess information, identify patterns and reach reasoned conclusions.
- Confidence experimenting with new tools and learning through testing and iteration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage priorities and progress several activities or experiments with appropriate support.
- Comfortable working in an environment where the answer or required approach may not already be known.
- High standards of integrity and care when handling confidential, personal or client information.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to work with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
Desirable
- Examples of academic, personal or professional AI, automation or technology projects.
- Experience using low-code or no-code automation platforms.
- An understanding of prompt design, APIs, data analysis or workflow automation.
- Some knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot or comparable business technology.
- The ability to gather information, understand business challenges and help translate them into practical solutions.
- Awareness of AI governance, data protection, information security and responsible AI principles.
- Experience supporting a change, improvement or technology implementation project.
- Experience presenting findings, delivering demonstrations or supporting others to learn new technology.
- An understanding of how to measure the benefits or return on investment of a technology initiative.

We do not expect candidates to have experience in every area listed. We are looking for strong potential, curiosity and evidence of practical experimentation with AI and emerging technology.
AI Strategy and Opportunity Identification
- Support the development and delivery of Silver Cloud’s AI strategy and implementation roadmap.
- Build a strong understanding of Silver Cloud’s services, consulting methodologies and internal processes.
- Work with colleagues across the business to identify manual, repetitive or inefficient activities that could be improved through AI or automation.
- Research relevant AI developments, tools and emerging practices, bringing new ideas and informed challenge into the business.
- Maintain a prioritised pipeline of AI opportunities based on expected value, feasibility, risk and alignment with Silver Cloud’s priorities.
Solution Development and Implementation
- Translate identified opportunities into clearly defined experiments, pilots and implementation plans.
- Develop and test practical AI-enabled solutions using appropriate generative AI, automation, data and low-code tools.
- Work with relevant teams to gather requirements, test solutions and incorporate user feedback.
- Evaluate pilot outcomes and recommend whether solutions should be adopted, improved, scaled or stopped.
- Support the implementation, documentation and ongoing review of successful solutions.
Consulting Delivery and Business Efficiency
- Review Silver Cloud’s consulting delivery lifecycle and internal operations to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and consistency.
- Develop AI-enabled tools, templates and approaches that reduce administration and enable colleagues to focus on higher-value activity.
- Explore how AI could enhance areas such as discovery, requirements gathering, project management, documentation, testing, reporting and knowledge management.
- Identify opportunities for AI to strengthen Silver Cloud’s client proposition and support the development of new services or thought leadership.
- Ensure AI enhances professional judgement and client delivery rather than replacing appropriate human review and accountability.

AI Adoption and Capability
- Act as an internal champion and developing subject-matter expert for the practical use of AI.
- Build colleague confidence through demonstrations, workshops, guidance and hands-on support.
- Create practical resources, including prompt libraries, user guides, playbooks and examples of good practice.
- Encourage colleagues to share ideas, lessons and successful use cases across practices and functions.
- Support teams through the adoption of new tools and ways of working, identifying and addressing barriers to effective use.
Governance, Measurement and Reporting
- Support the development and maintenance of Silver Cloud’s responsible AI policies, principles and controls.
- Ensure proposed solutions appropriately consider data protection, security, confidentiality, intellectual property, accuracy, bias and human oversight.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to assess new tools and use cases before implementation, escalating material risks where necessary.
- Establish clear measures of success and track the time, cost, quality and business benefits delivered through AI initiatives.
- Provide regular updates to the SLT and wider business on progress, outcomes, risks and recommended priorities.
