We are now seeking an AI Architect to lead the delivery, governance and adoption of enterprise AI solutions across the organisation. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of business transformation and technology, ensuring AI initiatives are prioritised, delivered and embedded to drive measurable impact.

About the Role

As AI Architect, you will act as the bridge between business needs and AI delivery. You will own the AI project pipeline, ensure effective governance through the AI Steering Committee, and lead the design and deployment of AI solutions across the enterprise.

This is a standalone, senior individual contributor role, operating through expertise and influence across the organisation. It combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, where you will directly build and deploy selected AI solutions while also overseeing externally delivered initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own AI governance and prioritisation through leadership of the AI Steering Committee, ensuring clear decision-making and strategic alignment
  • Drive business change and AI adoption, embedding AI into core processes and ways of working across the organisation
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of AI solutions, from use-case identification and scoping through to hands-on build, deployment and business adoption
  • Act as the internal AI technical expert, designing and building solutions while defining architecture standards and governance
  • Manage external vendors and partners, ensuring delivery quality, timelines and value for the business
  • Engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders, translating business needs into scalable, impactful AI solutions
  • Ensure compliance, data privacy and regulatory considerations are embedded in all AI initiatives

We are looking for a technically capable and commercially aware AI professional who can operate effectively across both delivery and business transformation.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in AI roles, with increasing responsibility
  • Demonstrable experience delivering AI or digital projects from concept to implementation
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multiple business functions
  • Hands-on technical expertise in AI tools and platforms, with the ability to design and build solutions
  • Experience managing vendors and external delivery partners
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes
  • Strong prioritisation and decision-making capability in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and leadership forums
  • Ideally experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or regulated industries
  • Understanding of data privacy, compliance and regulatory considerations in AI deployment
