AI Architect / AI Engineering Lead
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Architect / AI Engineering Lead based in United Kingdom.
This is a senior technical leadership role focused on designing and building production-grade autonomous and multi-agent AI systems. You’ll shape enterprise AI architecture and lead the engineering of intelligent solutions that can support complex software development workflows. You’ll combine strong software engineering foundations with hands-on expertise in LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI architectures. Working across modern cloud and development technologies, you’ll help translate advanced AI capabilities into reliable production systems. The position requires both architectural vision and practical engineering leadership, with a strong focus on scalability, automation, and delivery. Experience in healthcare and claims adjudication is a valuable advantage for applying these capabilities to complex industry workflows.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of production-grade autonomous and multi-agent AI systems.
- Provide technical leadership across enterprise AI architecture, engineering practices, and solution delivery.
- Design and implement AI agents that support software development workflows, including requirements, coding, testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
- Develop and integrate LLM- and RAG-based solutions using modern agentic AI frameworks and technologies.
- Apply LangGraph, LangChain, Claude, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot to build effective AI-powered engineering workflows.
- Collaborate across software engineering, DevOps, and cloud environments to ensure AI solutions are scalable, reliable, and production-ready.
- Contribute to architecture decisions spanning backend services, frontend applications, cloud infrastructure, and automated delivery pipelines.
- Drive best practices for AI engineering, multi-agent orchestration, development automation, and continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
