As an AI Assurance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and driving Liberty Blume’s AI assurance and compliance framework. You’ll ensure AI solutions are developed and operated responsibly, meeting the highest standards of accuracy, transparency, safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Working as part of the Governance, Risk & Compliance team, you will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to embed Responsible AI principles throughout the AI lifecycle. As the organisation’s subject matter expert in AI governance, risk, and assurance, you will provide oversight and guidance across the design, deployment, and ongoing monitoring of AI-powered products and services, helping to build trust, accountability, and compliance by design.
What will you be doing?

- Define and deliver Responsible AI strategies, governance models, and operating frameworks that support the safe and ethical use of AI across the business.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to embed AI assurance, controls, and governance throughout the AI lifecycle, from design and development through to deployment and monitoring.
- Assess and challenge AI systems, including generative and agentic AI solutions, to ensure they are safe, reliable, transparent, and aligned with organisational risk appetite.
- Conduct AI risk assessments and assurance reviews covering data quality, lineage, governance, fairness, explainability, robustness, accuracy, and model performance.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate AI-related risks, including model drift, bias, validation concerns, security vulnerabilities, third-party model risks, and autonomous system behaviours.
- Lead data protection, supplier assurance, and governance reviews related to AI technologies and services.
- Design and deliver AI governance policies, standards, training, and awareness initiatives across the organisation.
- Champion a culture of responsible AI adoption, promoting risk awareness, accountability, and compliance.
- Monitor emerging AI regulations, industry developments, and best practices, ensuring the organisation remains aligned with evolving requirements.
- Represent AI governance and assurance within cross-functional forums, providing expert guidance to stakeholders across technology, product, risk, and compliance teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
