About the Role
Are you passionate about automation, AI, and finding smarter ways of working?
We're looking for an AI & Automation Engineer to join Focus Group's growing Automation Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in transforming business processes through intelligent automation, helping both Focus Group and our customers reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and embrace the power of AI.
Working across Microsoft 365, on-premises environments, automation platforms, and AI technologies, you'll design and build innovative solutions that streamline everything from onboarding and offboarding to service delivery and customer experience.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design and develop automation workflows using Rewst and Jinja2.
- Build and maintain PowerShell scripts across Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Develop automations using Microsoft Graph API, Entra ID, and Exchange Online.
- Create and support AI-powered automations and digital agents using platforms such as Claude and Rewst.
- Configure, tune, and optimise AI models to improve efficiency, adoption, and resolution rates.
- Utilise platforms such as n8n to develop automation solutions where required.
- Troubleshoot and support existing automations for both internal teams and customers.
- Work closely with Technical Leads and operational teams to identify new automation opportunities.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation and user guides.
- Translate business requirements and AI outputs into scalable automation solutions.

What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong PowerShell scripting experience.
- Experience working with Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.
- Experience with workflow automation platforms such as Rewst or similar.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including Entra ID and Exchange Online.
- Experience with Microsoft Graph API.
- Strong SQL database knowledge, including Microsoft SQL or Azure SQL.
- Practical experience with AI, chatbot, or LLM-based platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- A hands-on approach with a passion for improving processes through technology.

Desirable Skills
- Experience with n8n or similar automation platforms.
- Experience building AI agents or LLM-powered workflows.
- Knowledge of AI-powered customer support and ticket automation tools.
- Previous MSP or telecoms industry experience.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, or RPA technologies.
- Knowledge of source control and automation library management.
