What you will be doing

We’re evolving the way technology supports our people, customers and business. As automation and AI continue to reshape the workplace, we’re looking for an experienced IT Automation & AI Platform Lead to help us build the governance, strategy and operating model that will enable these technologies to scale safely and effectively across our organisation.

This is a strategic role for someone who understands that successful automation and AI isn’t just about technology, it’s about creating the right platforms, controls, processes and partnerships to turn ideas into sustainable business value.

You’ll take ownership of the strategy, governance and ongoing development of our enterprise automation and AI capabilities, working across IT, security, architecture and business teams.

You’ll:

  • Define and evolve the strategy, service boundaries, lifecycle standards and operating model for enterprise automation and AI platforms.
  • Lead the governance of technologies including Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Automate Desktop, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Copilot and RPA.
  • Establish effective controls around environment strategy, DLP, risk management, auditability, resilience, support and compliance.
  • Shape and prioritise the automation and AI demand portfolio, balancing business value, risk and strategic priorities.
  • Help determine which solutions are appropriate for citizen development, IT-supported delivery or enterprise-led implementation.
  • Translate business challenges into practical automation, workflow and AI solutions.
  • Work closely with Security, Architecture, Audit and business stakeholders to enable innovation without compromising control.
  • Develop reusable solution patterns, standards, templates and starter kits that make safe self-service adoption easier.
  • Support the operationalisation of Copilot and AI-enabled workflows across Microsoft 365 and business processes.
  • Lead platform roadmaps, lifecycle management, migration and the decommissioning of legacy automation solutions.
  • Work within an Agile/DevOps environment to deliver continuous improvement and change.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and external suppliers to deliver platform and service improvements.
  • Help measure the value and impact of automation and digital workflow transformation across the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
