AI Automation Test Engineer (Contract)
12-month initial contract (extension potential)
£400-£600 per day (Inside IR35)

Remote-first with occasional travel to London

- Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites
- Execute functional, regression, integration and performance testing
- Validate AI-driven features, workflows and automated decision-making processes
- Collaborate with developers, architects and product teams to embed quality throughout delivery
- Build automation solutions using Java and Cucumber
- Analyse test results and drive continuous quality improvements
- Manage defects, reporting and documentation using JIRA and Confluence
- Support CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices
- Help ensure application performance, scalability and resilience across large-scale platforms

What You'll Bring
- Strong experience in automation testing / quality engineering
- Hands-on experience with Java and Cucumber
- Background in performance testing
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence
- Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
- Experience working across enterprise-scale or digital transformation programmes
- Confident stakeholder engagement and communication skills
