Industry Contents is a young independent publication covering how AI is changing businesses, industries, and the way companies work.
We're looking for someone with 2+ years of experience in journalism, research, data analysis, deep tech, consulting, marketing, or a related field who likes finding the story underneath the announcement.
You should be technically comfortable. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be able to understand technical products, read research and documentation, work with data, and ask the right questions. A company launches an AI product. Fine. But why does it exist now? Who needs it? What was being used before? Is anyone paying for it? What happens to the companies already serving that market?
What you'll work on
You'll help IC find, research, and develop stories around AI and business. That might involve digging through company reports, product documentation, datasets, research papers, and existing reporting. Sometimes it means comparing several companies to understand where a market is going. Other times it starts with one interesting number or claim that deserves a closer look.

Pay
This is a paid freelance contributor role. Contributors will be paid per commissioned article, with the fee agreed before work begins. Rates will depend on the scope, research involved, and complexity of the story.

About Industry Contents
Industry Contents is still early, which is partly why we're looking for contributors now. The publication is being built around independent, evidence-led analysis of AI and business. We want to understand what is actually changing rather than simply document what companies say is changing. You'll have room to pitch ideas and help shape the areas we investigate.
