# AI Consultant – Equifax

About the Role
The ideal candidate is a data-savvy entrepreneur who thrives in the intersection of business strategy and technical innovation. You’ll collaborate across teams, translate complex AI implications into actionable business advantage, and influence high-impact projects that shape Equifax’s future.
What You’ll Do
Your responsibilities are broad and impactful:
- Unlock insights through deep-dive analysis of Equifax data and partner assets
- Collaborate with product teams to refine market research and validate product needs
- Build and refine AI models using platforms like Vertex AI and BQML
- Develop business cases for proposed AI-led solutions, evaluating technical feasibility and ROI
- Advise AI projects, contributing to predictive modelling, risk assessment, fraud detection, or recommendation engines
- Mentor junior analysts, offering technical support and career growth guidance
- Lead high-complexity projects, delivering multiple cross-domain deliverables with precision
- Communicate findings effectively, condensing analytical results into clear, actionable narratives for stakeholders
- Drive data storytelling through visualization and impact-driven reporting
- Guide peers and inferiors on technical accuracy and deliverable quality, upholding high standards

Requirements
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree (2:1 or higher) in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Engineering)
- Solid experience in AI development, machine learning, and data analysis within a UK Credit Risk or financial services context
- Proven expertise in cloud-based AI platforms/tools and operationalizing machine learning systems
- Fluency in Python for data manipulation, algorithm implementation, and analytics
- Strong SQL skills for data retrieval and analysis
- Analytical rigor and problem-solving expertise, paired with excellent communication (written, verbal, and visual)
- Track record of designing predictive models for real-world applications
- Experience with model performance evaluation, optimization, and interpreting predictive outputs
Strong Consideration:
- Graduate qualification (Master’s level) in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- Experience with advanced AI techniques such as neural networks, NLP, or deep learning
- Specialized knowledge of financial services data, leveraging deep regulatory insights
- Open-source contributions to AI data science tools or libraries
- ** Flanders with big data architectures (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kubernetes) and frameworks**
- Practical use of data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib
- Passionate curiosity for data science, aiming to innovate beyond traditional frameworks
