Manager – AI & Data Architect

Location: London | Work Mode: Hybrid | Job Type: Permanent | Salary: £90,000


I’m working with a leading transformation consultancy to find an experienced AI & Data Architect to join their Technology & Data team at Manager level.


Overview

This is an opportunity to take technical leadership across complex data transformation programmes, combining data architecture, cloud platforms, analytics and AI.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for designing and shaping scalable data solutions, from ingestion and processing through to analytics and visualisation.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Designing end-to-end data architectures and platforms
  • Defining scalable ingestion, ETL and data processing solutions
  • Integrating modern data platforms with legacy environments
  • Developing conceptual, logical and physical data models
  • Establishing architecture standards around security, performance, scalability and cost
  • Providing technical leadership across data engineering projects and workstreams
  • Supporting data governance, quality and compliance
  • Working with schemas, metadata and data management frameworks
  • Exploring the use of AI and ML across data platforms
  • Considering AI governance, ethics and responsible AI
  • Evaluating new technologies, platforms and architectural approaches
  • Presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience across data engineering, data architecture or related disciplines
  • Strong experience with ETL, data pipelines and data storage
  • Experience leading data engineering projects or technical workstreams
  • Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric
  • Strong understanding of data modelling and architecture
  • Knowledge of dimensional, relational, Data Vault or similar modelling approaches
  • Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, Looker or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of data governance and data quality
  • Experience integrating AI/ML into data solutions
  • Understanding of AI governance and responsible AI
  • Strong client-facing and senior stakeholder management skills
  • Relevant cloud/data certifications are advantageous
  • UK work authorisation
