Role Overview
We're now looking for a Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, building modern data platforms and working closely with clients to deliver meaningful business outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing consultancy where you'll gain exposure to a variety of organisations, technologies and projects. You'll work alongside experienced consultants and architects, helping clients modernise their data landscape while continuing to develop your own technical and consulting skills.
We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys learning, and wants to build solutions that make a real impact.

What You'll Do
- Design, build and optimise modern data platforms on Microsoft Azure.
- Develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Talend.
- Build scalable data models to support reporting, analytics and AI.
- Develop dashboards and visualisations using Power BI and Tableau.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
- Develop integrations and automation using Python, Java and JavaScript where appropriate.
- Work closely with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Support cloud migration and modernisation programmes.
- Ensure high standards of data quality, governance and security.
- Use AI tools, including Claude, to accelerate delivery, improve documentation, automate engineering tasks and develop AI-powered solutions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement across the engineering team.
What We're Looking For
- Experience building data solutions in Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with Talend.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Java development experience.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modelling.
- Good coding with Python or JavaScript.
- A logical approach to problem solving.
- Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with clients.
- Experience working within Agile teams.
- A genuine interest in cloud technologies, data engineering and AI.

- Experience working within consulting or professional services.
- Azure certifications.
- Experience supporting cloud migration programmes.
- Curiosity around AI and how it can improve data engineering and delivery.
