AI Data Specialist | Trustmarque Ultima
Location: Hybrid – Office / Remote
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Team: Business Operations
Help us build the data foundations behind AI.
There’s a huge amount happening with AI at Trustmarque Ultima, and as we continue to invest in AI and automation across the business, having the right data available securely, reliably and at the right time is critical.
We’re looking for an AI Data Specialist to join our growing AI team and help build the data engineering and retrieval capabilities that will power our AI applications, agents and analytical use cases.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of Data, AI and Microsoft technologies, turning enterprise information into trusted, governed and usable data that can deliver genuine business outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll work alongside our AI, integration, data, architecture and security teams to:
- Identify data requirements for priority AI use cases and assess availability, quality and accessibility
- Design and build production-ready data pipelines and transformations
- Integrate structured and unstructured data from enterprise applications, repositories and external sources
- Develop enterprise retrieval and grounding capabilities, including search, indexing and RAG
- Work with technologies including Microsoft Fabric/OneLake, Azure Data Factory, SharePoint, Microsoft Graph and Azure AI Search
- Build reusable data products and pipelines that can support multiple AI use cases
- Address data quality, lineage, metadata, governance and access-control requirements
- Support analytical and predictive use cases including scoring, forecasting and customer or workforce intelligence
- Monitor and improve the quality and performance of data and retrieval services
- Work closely with AI and integration engineers to take solutions into production

What we’re looking for
You’ll bring strong practical experience in data engineering, analytics engineering or developing data-intensive applications, with experience across:
- Production data pipelines and transformations
- SQL and programming/data-processing languages such as Python
- Data quality, security, permissions, governance and lineage
- Structured and unstructured enterprise data
- Translating business and AI requirements into pragmatic, deliverable data solutions
Experience with Microsoft Fabric/OneLake, Azure Data Factory, Azure data services, RAG, vector/semantic search, SharePoint, Microsoft Graph or Azure AI Search would be a real advantage.
