AI Delivery Lead - Financial Crime Compliance

Location: Cardiff Office, onsite once every couple of weeks – can be UK-based remote
Rate: £550- £603 a day Inside IR35
Contract Length: 8 Month Contract

Role Summary

Our client in the Global Analytics space are seeking an experienced AI Delivery Lead to drive the planning, execution, adoption and operational success of strategic AI and technology initiatives across our Financial Crime Compliance portfolio. The role combines strategic delivery leadership with operational support, working closely with Product, Engineering, Support and Business teams. The successful candidate will lead initiatives from business case development through delivery, adoption and value realisation, while dedicating approximately 35% of their focus to Customer Crisis Management (CCM), incident management, operational governance and continual service improvement. This role is suited to a delivery professional who can bridge traditional enterprise governance requirements with modern Agile and AI-enabled product delivery practices, while supporting effective responses to customer-impacting issues within a non-hosted product environment.

Key Responsibilities

AI Delivery & Value Realisation

  • Lead the delivery of AI and technology initiatives from concept through adoption.
  • Translate business objectives and investment cases into executable delivery plans, milestones and measurable outcomes.
  • Track and report on benefits, KPIs and value realisation.
  • Support portfolio investment, prioritisation and funding decisions.

AI & Modern Delivery Practices

  • Support the delivery of AI, GenAI, automation and emerging technology solutions.
  • Champion AI-enabled delivery and engineering practices to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Support adoption of specification-driven delivery approaches.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery effectiveness, productivity, quality and operational efficiency through AI and automation.

Required Experience

  • Strong experience in Programme Management, Delivery Management or Technology Delivery leadership roles.
  • Proven experience delivering complex technology initiatives in enterprise environments.
  • Experience developing and delivering business cases, delivery plans and benefits realisation approaches.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across Product, Engineering, Support and Business functions.
  • Experience operating within Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience managing delivery governance, reporting, financial oversight, risks and dependencies.
  • Exposure to Incident Management, Major Incident Management or Customer Crisis Management processes.
  • Ability to coordinate stakeholders and communicate clearly during customer-impacting or time-critical situations.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities and drive outcomes across multiple initiatives.

Preferred Experience

  • Delivery of AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI or automation initiatives.
  • SAFe delivery experience, including PI Planning and ART coordination.
