Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst - AI & Commodities Trading
Join this global Energy company for a 6-month initially contract.
Competitive Day Rates (Umbrella)
3 Days a week in London office
Role Overview
You will be joining this award-winning AI Capability Team of 14 people, working closely with AI Engineers, Data Scientists, and Developers to define and deliver AI-enabled solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis Leadership
- Lead discovery, analysis, process modelling, and requirements definition activities across multiple strategic initiatives.
- Translate business opportunities and operational challenges into actionable functional and technical requirements.
- Facilitate workshops with traders, schedulers, operators, commercial teams, product owners, and technology teams.
- Define user stories, business processes, capability maps, acceptance criteria, and business outcomes.
- Drive solution alignment across business, product, and engineering teams.

Commodities & Products Trading Expertise
AI & Digital Product Enablement
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and Generative AI capabilities within trading and commercial workflows.
- Work closely with AI engineers, data scientists, and developers to define and deliver AI-enabled solutions.
- Support product discovery, MVP definition, and scaling of successful AI products.
- Translate business use cases into requirements suitable for AI and Large Language Model (LLM) based solutions.
- Evaluate business value and adoption opportunities for AI-enabled products.
This role requires a seasoned Business Analyst with strong knowledge of Commodities Trading. Experience working on AI, data, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives. Familiarity with AI product lifecycles and adoption challenges.
