AI Support Software Engineer
£50,000-£60,000 + Benefits
12-Month FTC (with strong potential to extend or become permanent)
UK Wide Travel Required | Primarily Onsite
This role would suit a recent graduate or someone early in their career with a strong interest in things like building computers, Linux, infrastructure and emerging AI technologies. You'll need to be highly adaptable, eager to learn and comfortable travelling frequently across the UK and occasionally internationally to support deployments.
We're looking for an AI Deployment Engineer to join a small, highly collaborative team responsible for building, deploying and supporting advanced AI software platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on exposure to AI, Linux systems, infrastructure, deployments and customer-facing technology projects.
This isn't a traditional support role. You'll be involved in everything from lab environments and hardware installations through to live deployments, troubleshooting and supporting AI systems in operational settings.

What you'll be doing
- Supporting the deployment of AI software platforms across the UK and internationally
- Working with Linux-based environments and infrastructure
- Assisting with build, deployment and release activities
- Installing and configuring hardware, servers and high-performance computing equipment
- Supporting customer pilots, demonstrations and proof-of-concepts
- Troubleshooting software, infrastructure and deployment issues
- Working closely with Engineering, QA and Product teams
- Travelling at short notice when required to support operational deployments
What we're looking for
- Commercial or practical experience working with Linux
- Understanding of software engineering, infrastructure or deployment pipelines
- Interest in AI, machine learning or data-driven technologies
- Comfortable building PCs, working with hardware or server equipment
- Happy working in a highly hands-on environment
- Willingness to travel frequently across the UK and occasionally overseas
- Strong work ethic, adaptability and desire to learn

The opportunity

Package
- £50,000-£60,000 salary
- 12-month fixed-term contract
- Strong possibility of extension or permanent conversion
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
