About The Role
We are currently seeking an ambitious and skilled AI & Automation Developer to join a forward-thinking organization located in Manchester. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to work within a cutting-edge technological environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and supporting innovative business-critical systems and automation solutions that leverage artificial intelligence and automation technologies. This role offers the chance to work on complex projects that directly impact operational efficiency and business growth, utilizing a modern technology stack and AI-powered development tools.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in software development with proven experience in building scalable and reliable applications. A strong understanding of databases, data management principles, and relational database systems, particularly SQL Server, is essential. Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and middleware systems is required. Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React and TypeScript, along with back-end frameworks like Python (FastAPI, Flask) and Node.js, is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and experience managing projects from requirements gathering through deployment. Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and familiarity with CI/CD processes will be advantageous.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance AI-driven business processes and automation solutions to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Translate operational requirements into scalable, reliable software applications across multiple technologies, including React, TypeScript, Python, Node.js, and SQL Server.
- Build and maintain integrations with third-party platforms using REST APIs and webhooks to ensure seamless data exchange and workflow automation.
- Develop and support middleware systems that connect core business applications and facilitate automation.
- Create and manage SQL Server databases, schemas, stored procedures, and data models to support application functionalities.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure high availability and performance of applications and workflows.
- Utilize AI development tools and coding assistants to accelerate project delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and security.
- Design controls, guardrails, testing frameworks, and governance protocols for AI-powered processes to ensure compliance and reliability.
- Investigate and resolve production issues across applications, integrations, and databases to maintain operational stability.
- Manage software releases, deployments, version control, and CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous improvement and agility.
- Collaborate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet business needs and strategic objectives.
