About the Client
A leading global insurance organisation is investing heavily in AI and is building new AI products and services across the business. They are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help establish the engineering foundations needed to deploy, automate, govern, and operate these AI solutions at enterprise scale.
Role Overview
This is not a traditional DevOps role. You will sit at the intersection of DevOps, software development and AI, building the CI/CD, automation, Infrastructure-as-Code and governance capabilities needed to take AI solutions from development into secure, repeatable production environments.
You will work closely with AI, DevOps and Engineering teams, with a particular focus on integrating Azure AI Foundry into existing enterprise engineering practices. A key part of the assignment will be creating reusable standards and patterns and transferring knowledge to the permanent engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for AI-enabled applications and services.
- Integrate Azure AI Foundry and AI/GenAI services into enterprise DevOps and deployment processes.
- Build reusable Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code standards and modules, including helping transition existing Bicep-based infrastructure to Terraform.
- Establish secure and governed deployment patterns, including DevSecOps controls, security scanning, segregation of duties, audit trails and deployment gates.
- Develop self-service deployment capabilities and standards that reduce manual intervention and improve consistency across environments.
- Support AI product teams across Azure, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud-based platforms.
- Implement appropriate monitoring, logging and observability across AI platforms and services.
- Identify opportunities to improve the SDLC through AI-enabled automation, with measurable improvements to efficiency, quality and speed of delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
