I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Objectives:

  • Identify and priorities where AI can save time across business-as-usual (BAU) work, operational support and administrative tasks.
  • Raise the team’s practical fluency with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Cowork and Copilot Studio so new habits stick.
  • Deliver a small set of working agents, skills and reusable prompts that the team owns and can extend.
  • Leave behind a governed, documented approach the team can sustain without external support.

Key responsibilities:

  • Discovery and opportunity assessment
    • Work with team members in the US and UK to map day-to-day BAU, operational support and administrative work. Identify efficiency opportunities, including areas where the team already has the skills but lacks access to the right tools or the opportunity to apply them, and priorities them by value and effort.
  • Enablement and brown bag sessions
    • Plan, organize and deliver a series of brown bag sessions that bring the team up to speed on Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Cowork and Copilot Studio, using real Corporate Platforms scenarios. Schedule sessions to suit both US Eastern and UK time zones and record them for later use.
  • Agent and skill build
    • Support the design and building of agents and skills for Corporate Platforms use with Copilot Studio and Copilot Cowork, integrating with Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook and Power Automate where appropriate. Coach team members to build alongside the consultant rather than for them.
  • Adoption and change
    • Encourage day-to-day use through champions, follow-up clinics and practical guidance. Track adoption and usage, gather feedback and adjust the approach as the engagement progresses.
  • Governance and responsible AI
    • Design every solution within Client’s AI governance, including license-owner approval for Copilot capabilities, data handling and responsible AI principles. Account for UK and EU data residency: access to Anthropic models in Copilot and Cowork is restricted for UK and EU colleagues because those models may process data in the US, and is opt-in after considering client, contractual and regulatory obligations.
  • Knowledge transfer and handover
    • Document solutions, prompts and ways of working so the team can run and extend them independently. Agree ownership for each agent and skill and complete a structured handover before the engagement closes.

Required skills and experience:

  • Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Cowork and Copilot Studio, including designing, building and publishing agents.

  • Proven track record of identifying and delivering productivity improvements through AI and automation in an enterprise setting.
  • Experience designing and delivering engaging training for technical and non-technical audiences, in person and virtually.
  • Sound understanding of data protection, responsible AI and regional data residency considerations, especially for UK and EU users, and of working within enterprise approval and licensing controls.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across US and UK teams and time zones.

Nice to have

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as Copilot or AI-related credentials or Power Platform certifications.
  • Experience with SharePoint-based intranets or corporate internet platforms.
  • Prior enterprise AI enablement or adoption programmes, ideally in a regulated environment.

Success measures

  • Prioritized opportunity backlog agreed with leadership within two weeks of start.
  • Brown bag programme delivered, with attendance and feedback captured across Corporate Platforms.
  • Agents and skills in active use by the team, each with a named owner and documented support arrangements.
  • Measurable time saved on targeted BAU, operational and administrative tasks.
  • Solutions approved within Client’s AI governance, with no data handling or residency exceptions raised.
  • Team able to build and maintain agents independently after handover.
