AI Enablement Lead — 6-Month FTC
We're looking for an AI Enablement Lead to join a fast-growing UK retail-tech scale-up. This company is one of the most exciting success stories in UK tech today. Their hardware and software are used every day by staff at some of the UK's Tier 1 retailers, and they've already laid the foundations to become an AI-native business — a published AI policy, an AI Steering Committee, and a live Gemini rollout.
This is a genuinely rare, greenfield opportunity, designed from the start with one goal in mind: making AI accessible to everyone, not just those who already know how to use it. You'll have an Exec mandate behind you, with results visible within months.
You will report directly to the Chief of Staff & Strategy, who chairs the AI Steering Committee, and also work closely with the CTO. You will lead the AI adoption efforts across the business, including the champions network, training programme, hackathons, prompt contests, and approved tooling pathways. You will manage the AI steering group's operations and redesign high-friction workflows across every function, from customer support to engineering.

The role is primarily focused on leading change and transformation, with hands-on work using Gemini Enterprise, including its agentic workflows. You will work closely with the executive team and should feel comfortable working with senior leaders who are not afraid to challenge one another.
What we're looking for
- A strong track record in business transformation or organisational change, ideally with AI transformation as a recent focus
- Direct experience reporting into C-suite or senior leadership
- Experience building community engagement around change, such as champions networks, adoption programs, and cross-functional support
- Comfort running programmes under exec-level scrutiny
- Hands-on exposure to enterprise-grade AI tooling (Gemini, Copilot, Claude for Enterprise, or equivalent), with a working understanding of AI data and security basics

This is a six-month fixed-term contract. The role is brand new for the company. You will work on-site in Oxfordshire one day a week, with the rest of the time remote. The ideal start date is September.
