AI Enablement Lead | 6 month contract | Healthcare | Outside IR35 | £700 - £800 per day

We’re looking for an AI Enablement Lead to drive practical AI adoption, capability building and business transformation across a UK software product organisation within a HealthTech business.

You’ll work closely with engineering, product, customer-facing and operational teams to identify high-value AI opportunities, improve productivity and embed safe, repeatable AI-enabled ways of working across the product development lifecycle.

What you’ll be doing

  • Drive adoption of approved AI tools and AI-centric ways of working across UK product teams.
  • Embed with teams to build practical capability and help people use AI effectively in their day-to-day work.
  • Support AI-assisted software delivery, including the use of copilots, agents, LLMs and shared AI tooling.
  • Help teams develop product-specific AI context and improve practices across the end-to-end product development lifecycle.
  • Create lightweight standards, playbooks and governance that enable safe, practical adoption.
  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in productivity, efficiency and employee confidence.

  • AI is embedded into everyday product team workflows
  • Several high-impact AI use cases are live, proven and repeatable.
  • Teams have an active champion network and practical support model.
  • Adoption, productivity and risk controls are measurable, visible and working effectively.

Your Profile

You may come from a background such as AI transformation, product enablement, product operations, delivery leadership, senior product management or technology leadership.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience leading AI adoption, digital transformation or technology enablement.
  • Hands-on experience with modern AI platforms, copilots, agents and large language models.
  • Experience with the Anthropic and/or Microsoft 365 AI ecosystem is particularly relevant.
  • Credibility working with executives, engineers, product teams and operational teams.
  • Exposure to software engineering, product management or technology leadership.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching and communication skills, with an ability to make complex concepts simple.
  • A pragmatic, commercially minded approach focused on measurable outcomes.
  • The ability to operate in ambiguity and turn successful experiments into repeatable practices.
  • Experience in healthcare, health technology or another regulated environment would be advantageous, as would experience measuring AI adoption, productivity improvement and ROI.
