AI Engagement Lead

Location: UK Based (travel to London or Guildford 2–3 days per week required)
Contract Length: 12 Months
Rate: Up to £600 per day
Sector: Global Consulting – Insurance

About the Role

A global consulting business is seeking an experienced AI Engagement Lead to join on a 12-month contract basis. This is a highly customer-facing role, ideal for a professional with strong insurance sector expertise who can confidently engage with clients to drive the delivery of AI use cases. You will act as the key link between client stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring AI initiatives are scoped, prioritised, and delivered to a high standard.

Please note: experience within the insurance sector is essential for this role, and candidates must be prepared to travel to London or Guildford 2–3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the insurance sector.
  • AI Use Case Delivery: Drive the identification, prioritisation, and delivery of AI use cases, ensuring solutions align with client business objectives and deliver measurable value.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with client leadership and internal delivery teams to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure alignment throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Delivery Oversight: Oversee end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives, coordinating with technical, data, and product teams to ensure use cases are delivered on time and to specification.
  • Sector Expertise: Apply deep insurance industry knowledge to shape AI strategy, identify relevant opportunities, and advise clients on best practice adoption.
  • Reporting & Insights: Track progress, risks, and outcomes across engagements, providing regular updates and insights to both client and internal leadership.
  • Change & Adoption: Support clients through the adoption of AI solutions, ensuring strong buy-in and sustainable usage across their organisation.

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing engagement, delivery, or consulting lead role, ideally within a consulting or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrable experience within the insurance sector — this is essential for the role.
  • Strong track record of driving AI use case delivery, from ideation through to implementation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence and credibility to engage senior client stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and how they apply to real-world business problems, particularly within insurance.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to London or Guildford 2–3 days per week for the duration of the contract.

  • Rate: £550- £600 per day (dependent on experience)
  • Duration: 12 months
