About The Role
We are partnering with an established organization that is currently investing heavily in its artificial intelligence and generative search capabilities. The organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer to join their dynamic AI team. This pivotal role involves designing and delivering production-grade AI systems that emphasize accuracy, scalability, and tangible real-world impact. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in advancing the company's AI initiatives, particularly in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic workflows, and large language model (LLM) optimization.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a growing AI function, contributing to cutting-edge projects that shape the future of AI-driven solutions. The Senior AI Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and influence the technical direction of AI initiatives, ensuring the deployment of robust, scalable, and innovative AI systems.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Python engineering, with significant experience in building and deploying AI/ML systems in a production environment. Proven expertise in RAG architectures, LLM workflows, and generative AI is essential. Candidates should have hands-on experience with tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, and LlamaIndex, demonstrating their ability to implement retrieval strategies and optimize large language models effectively.
A solid understanding of evaluation methodologies for generative AI, cloud computing environments—preferably AWS—and experience operating in a senior or technical leadership capacity are highly desirable. Candidates should also demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to innovation, and the ability to mentor and lead junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and generative AI workflows to meet organizational needs.
- Build and optimize solutions utilizing tools such as LangChain, LangGraph, and LlamaIndex, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Implement advanced retrieval strategies including reranking, chunking, and retrieval fusion to enhance the accuracy and relevance of AI outputs.
- Develop and maintain agentic workflows with a focus on robustness, scalability, and ease of maintenance.
- Contribute to experimentation, evaluation, and the development of AI quality frameworks to ensure continuous improvement.
- Support initiatives related to fine-tuning, instruction tuning, and overall model optimization to improve AI performance.
- Mentor junior engineers, promote best practices, and contribute to the technical growth of the team.
