AI Engineer

Location: London
Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Full-time
Grade: Mid-level / Grade 7

About the Role:

We are looking for an AI Engineer to design, develop and deploy practical AI-powered solutions that improve business efficiency, enhance customer and employee experiences, and reduce manual processes.

Working within an AI innovation and delivery function, you will translate business challenges into secure, scalable AI products and services. You’ll combine strong software engineering skills with curiosity and innovation, working closely with colleagues across business and technical teams to rapidly prototype, test and deliver solutions that create measurable value.

The role combines software engineering, AI orchestration, automation and data capabilities, with a particular focus on the Microsoft ecosystem and modern AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and maintain AI-powered applications and intelligent automation solutions.
  • Develop AI assistants, copilots and workflow automations using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI and Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Integrate AI services with existing enterprise applications, including Microsoft 365, Dynamics and other business systems.
  • Build secure AI solutions using Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering and AI orchestration techniques.
  • Develop Python-based services, APIs and automation scripts to support AI products and services.
  • Use Power BI to develop dashboards that measure business outcomes, adoption and productivity improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI and automation.
  • Rapidly prototype ideas and iterate solutions using agile delivery methods.
  • Ensure solutions comply with data governance, information security and responsible AI principles.
  • Support the transition of successful pilots and prototypes into robust production services.
  • Contribute to AI standards, reusable components and engineering best practice across the organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
