About The Role
We are collaborating with loveholidays to identify a passionate and motivated Level 1 Conversational AI Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining AI-powered conversational agents that enhance customer interactions across various digital channels. Reporting to the Lead Conversational AI Engineer, you will gain valuable experience working with state-of-the-art AI technologies, including Google Dialogflow CX, Vertex AI, and large language models. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced environment, contributing to innovative solutions that directly impact the customer experience and the company's technological advancement.

- Foundational understanding of conversational AI concepts, including intents, entities, dialogue management, and fulfillment.
- Experience building virtual agents on platforms such as Google Dialogflow CX, Vertex AI, Amazon Lex, or Rasa.
- Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages, with solid software engineering practices.
- Experience designing and orchestrating large language model applications, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and multi-agent workflows.
- Good understanding of REST APIs and webhooks for integrating AI agents with backend systems.
- Familiarity with cloud deployment environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform, and CI/CD practices for AI workflows.
Desirable qualifications include experience with Google ADK, LangChain, vector databases, and knowledge of the travel or e-commerce sectors. Familiarity with version control tools like Git and working within agile teams is also advantageous.
Responsibilities
As a Level 1 Conversational AI Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining conversational AI agents using Google Dialogflow CX and Vertex AI, including creating flows, fulfillment logic, and configuring agents.
- Supporting the development of agentic workflows, designing multi-step, tool-using agents capable of reasoning and acting across systems to resolve customer queries.
- Utilizing the Google Agent Development Kit (ADK) to assist in building, testing, and iterating on agent capabilities under mentorship from senior engineers.
- Analyzing conversational data and customer interaction patterns to derive insights that inform improvements in the user experience.
- Participating in testing and quality assurance processes to identify and resolve issues within conversational flows and agent pipelines.
- Collaborating with conversation designers, product managers, and engineering teams to ensure technical implementations align with design and business objectives.
- Engaging actively in team ceremonies such as stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning sessions, effectively communicating progress and challenges.
- Staying informed about emerging trends and innovations in agentic AI, large language models, and conversational AI landscapes, sharing insights with the team.
