Your new role

As an AI Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing AI-powered applications, workflow automation solutions, and scalable software products. You will work across the full development life cycle, combining modern software engineering practices with emerging AI technologies to create impactful solutions for clients and internal stakeholders.

This role offers genuine long-term progression, with the opportunity to develop into an AI Delivery Manager position as the organisation continues to grow.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain AI-enabled software applications and automation solutions
  • Build and enhance web-based applications using PHP and React
  • Design and manage SQL database solutions
  • Integrate and utilise AI tools and platforms, including Claude and Onyx
  • Develop scalable cloud-based solutions within AWS environments
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI workflows and process automation
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of development standards, architecture, and best practices
  • Support the delivery of innovative AI projects from concept through to deployment

What you'll need to succeed

Essential skills and experience

  • 3-5 years' commercial software engineering experience
  • Strong development experience with PHP
  • Front-end development experience using React
  • Solid SQL database design and development skills
  • Experience working with AWS cloud services
  • Exposure to AI technologies, AI workflows, or automation solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a remote environment
