Would you like to help drive the growth and technical software delivery expertise of a global company that works with 91% of the Fortune Global 500? Are you an experienced engineer who is fluent with the latest AI and agentic tooling, thrives on AI agent-led delivery, and can think on your feet to propose innovative solutions to challenging problems? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Willis Neuron Technology team in the UK.

This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key role in developing the change capabilities of a global financial services organisation, where our delivery model is pivoting towards AI agent-led development, and the focus is on practical delivery and reacting to the highest value business needs.

You will hit the ground running: building AI-enabled products with large language models and modern agent frameworks and directing AI coding assistants to deliver at pace. You will turn concepts from our architects and product managers into working software quickly, challenge technical design and delivery choices, and bring the analytical rigour needed to take AI solutions safely into production.

The Role

  • Design, build and productionise AI-enabled features and services using large language models, RAG, prompt engineering and agent frameworks / orchestration (such as LangChain, LangGraph or Semantic Kernel).
  • Take AI solutions beyond prototype, owning evaluation, testing, guardrails, observability, security and cost management.
  • Rapidly prototype and validate ideas, turning concepts into working software within days and proving out how to build the solution properly at scale.
  • Deliver hands-on development of class leading web-based applications and services, integrating AI capabilities with our existing platform (C# /.NET, React and/or Angular, Python) and our Azure cloud and DevOps tooling.
  • Direct AI coding assistants and agentic workflows (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) alongside your own hands-on expertise, and rigorously review both human-written and AI-generated code against our architectural, development and security standards.
  • Own delivery of a small suite of business-related projects, ensuring architectural and solution alignment with the wider technical vision.
  • Drive adoption of AI agent-led delivery across the team, coaching others in effective and responsible use of AI tooling so the capability spreads.
  • Challenge established development processes and procedures, particularly how AI agents are integrated into the SDLC, and work closely with the Engineering Leads on tooling adoption and delivery outcomes.
  • Track AI and agentic technology trends outside the organisation and apply them pragmatically to our products, whilst developing deep domain knowledge.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

QUALIFICATIONS

What you’ll bring

Essential Experience

  • Practical experience building with AI and agentic technologies: large language models, RAG, prompt engineering, and agent frameworks / orchestration (such as LangChain, LangGraph or Semantic Kernel).

  • Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants and agentic development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) in a professional delivery setting, and the ability to critically review, validate and secure the code they produce.

  • Strong hands-on software engineering experience (minimum 10 years commercial), with React and/or Angular, TypeScript, C# /.NET and Python.

  • Hands-on commercial experience in Azure cloud, using GitHub and Azure DevOps, across all phases of the SDLC and Agile delivery.

  • Proven ability to rapidly prototype and validate ideas, moving a concept from whiteboard to working demo in days.

  • Demonstrable experience leading, influencing and mentoring through hands-on contributions.

  • Experience of working in a financial services organisation, preferably with exposure to the insurance industry / insurance broking. Where this directly relevant experience is not available, we will be looking for an ability to rapidly become effective in a new, unfamiliar environment.

  • First-rate communication skills, applied to rapid and creative problem solving with technical and business stakeholders in an occasionally pressurised environment.

  • Comfortable working on your own initiative or as part of a broader project team, remotely or face to face, and confident challenging established approaches.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience running AI / LLM solutions in production at scale, including evaluation frameworks, guardrails and cost management.
  • Experience designing or orchestrating multi-agent workflows, and familiarity with agent protocols (e.g. MCP) for integrating AI agents with engineering pipelines and enterprise data.
  • Experience with microservice based architectures and containerisation.
  • Experience building and working with mathematical algorithms, or with geospatial, catastrophe or financial-modelling data.
  • Experience understanding and translating complex business processes across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • BSc degree qualified in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Science or Computer Science).
