Contract AI Engineer: Paid MVP Sprint, with a path to full-time
Stealth HealthTech | London / Remote
We’re an early-stage healthtech company building a portfolio of AI products in aesthetic medicine, working alongside surgeons, clinicians, and researchers. We’re looking for an engineer to take our first product from prototype to a working MVP.
Why join
- Start with a paid 2–4 week sprint, with the opportunity to move into a full-time founding engineering role as the company grows
- Work alongside top-tier talent: leading plastic surgeons, clinicians, and researchers
- Shape a product from day one, with real influence over how it’s built
- Gain rare experience at the intersection of AI, healthtech, and aesthetic medicine
What you’ll do in the first phase
- Develop a prototype, and then develop into a working MVP
- Build a structured conversational flow that moves someone from an inquiry to a clear, answerable question, grounded in a curated clinical knowledge base (RAG)
- Build guardrails and escalation: knowing when to refer to a clinician, and generating a handoff summary a clinician can actually use
- Set up evaluation for clinical accuracy, not just fluency
- Design privacy-first data foundations (UK GDPR) and safeguarding against reinforcing appearance anxiety

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
