Role Description

This is a remote, contract role for a Freelance AI Engineer. The AI Engineer will design, build, and optimize AI models and pipelines that support FileSig’s cybersecurity tools and training platforms, including AI-driven detection, scoring, and educational experiences.   • Developing and fine-tuning neural network architectures

The role involves collaborating with engineering and product teams to integrate AI solutions into production-grade software, ensuring scalability, performance, and security best practices. The AI Engineer will also:

  • Document technical approaches
  • Contribute to experimentation frameworks
  • Support continuous improvement of AI capabilities across FileSig’s ecosystem

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
  • Proficiency in Software Development, with experience building and deploying AI or data-intensive applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Neural Networks and related machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Skills in Pattern Recognition and applied machine learning for classification, anomaly detection, or forecasting.
  • Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), including model training, evaluation, and integration into products.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts or a strong interest in security, risk management, or secure coding practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI engineering (such as Python), and familiarity with cloud platforms.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage contract timelines, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
