Job Description:

Principal Engineer – Agentic AI

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer to design and deliver AI-driven and Agentic AI solutions at enterprise scale. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on engineer who can combine strong software engineering practices with modern LLMs, AI cloud services, and agent frameworks.

You will help build robust, secure, explainable, and production-ready AI systems while influencing how applied AI creates business value across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled features and agentic workflows that solve real business problems.
  • Build production-grade solutions using LLM APIs, cloud AI services, and agent frameworks such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
  • Develop agent architectures including reasoning loops, memory, tool use, guardrails, and observability.
  • Apply strong engineering, testing, security, and DevOps practices across the AI lifecycle.
  • Design and implement AI evaluations (evals) to measure quality, reliability, safety, and regression.
  • Work with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and optimise latency and cost.
  • Monitor AI systems in production and manage performance, risks, limitations, and operational reliability.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams using Agile delivery practices.
  • Champion AI-assisted development and continuous engineering improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
