Job Reference: J13167

We are seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy innovative AI solutions that solve complex real-world challenges at scale. Joining a newly established AI function at an exciting early stage, you will play a key role in shaping the future of AI capabilities within the organisation. Working with world-class datasets, you will develop intelligent systems that deliver meaningful impact for customers, enhance operational performance, and support frontline teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced AI Engineer to work at the forefront of artificial intelligence innovation, developing cutting-edge solutions that combine machine learning, Generative AI, and advanced data capabilities. You will have the opportunity to influence the direction of AI initiatives from the ground up, working across the full AI lifecycle from design and development through to deployment and optimisation. The role offers the chance to build scalable, production-ready AI applications while collaborating with talented technical teams to deliver solutions that create real business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI and machine learning solutions, taking projects from concept through to production with a focus on predictive analytics, optimisation, automation, Generative AI, and agentic AI.
  • Build AI-powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), orchestration frameworks, and Python within backend and cloud-based environments.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate complex challenges into impactful AI solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Develop robust, secure, and scalable AI systems, embedding best practices across CI/CD, containerisation, monitoring, governance, and responsible AI principles.
  • Monitor and optimise deployed models, identifying performance issues, drift, and opportunities for improvement through updates or retraining.
  • Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure for AI workloads, balancing scalability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Create reusable components, libraries, and templates to accelerate future AI initiatives, while contributing to technical documentation, best practices, and knowledge sharing across the AI community.
  • Support the development of junior engineers through mentoring, code reviews, and collaborative learning.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
