About The Role
167 Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly skilled AI Engineer to join its innovative team, primarily working remotely within the UK. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of AI development, focusing on cutting-edge Generative AI, data-driven products, and cloud-native solutions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying full-stack applications utilizing TypeScript and AWS services. This position is ideal for someone passionate about rapid prototyping, "vibe coding," and AI-assisted development, with a keen interest in transforming ideas into tangible products swiftly.
The AI Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and data scientists, to deliver impactful AI features and prototypes. The role emphasizes a fast-paced environment where innovation and agility are paramount. Candidates should be comfortable balancing hands-on coding with strategic stakeholder communication, contributing to the company's mission to build next-generation AI products that push technological boundaries.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of three years' commercial experience in software development, with a strong foundation in full-stack development using TypeScript. Proficiency in AWS cloud services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and DynamoDB is essential. Candidates should demonstrate experience in rapid prototyping and AI-assisted workflows, with exposure to Generative AI tools and APIs like OpenAI, Anthropic, or LangChain being highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities are required to effectively translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. A background working within Agile environments and a proactive approach to adopting new tools and frameworks will be advantageous. Candidates must be able to work in a hybrid setting from Bristol, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy full-stack applications utilizing TypeScript for both front-end and back-end components.
- Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, cloud-native solutions on AWS, ensuring high availability and security.
- Rapidly prototype new ideas, leveraging AI and Generative AI tools to accelerate development cycles ("vibe coding").
- Integrate AI, Generative AI, and data-driven features into existing and new products, enhancing functionality and user experience.
- Collaborate within Agile teams, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and iterative development processes.
- Work closely with product, design, and data teams to translate concepts into functional software solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and demonstrate progress through demos and reports.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, contributing to peer reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
- Explore and adopt emerging tools, frameworks, and AI capabilities to improve development velocity and product quality.
- Take ownership of features from initial concept through to deployment, monitoring, and iterative enhancement.
