£560 per day (Inside IR35) | 12-Month Contract | Remote with Occasional London Travel
We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer (Front End) to join a major government programme delivering innovative AI-enabled digital services and user experiences.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of AI adoption, helping to design and develop intuitive, user-centric interfaces that leverage emerging AI technologies to transform public sector services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance AI-enabled user interfaces and digital experiences
- Build responsive, accessible, and scalable front-end applications
- Collaborate with product, UX, data, and AI teams to integrate AI capabilities into customer-facing solutions
- Contribute to the design and implementation of modern web and mobile experiences
- Ensure solutions meet government standards for accessibility, security, and performance
- Participate in agile development practices and continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Front End Engineer/Developer delivering modern digital products
- Strong experience building AI-enabled applications or user experiences
- Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Next.js, Angular, or Vue
- Experience integrating AI/LLM technologies into digital products
- Strong understanding of UX, accessibility, and responsive design
- Experience working within UK Government or Public Sector environments (essential)
- Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Eligible to obtain and maintain BPSS clearance

Desirable Experience
- Experience developing mobile applications (iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, etc.)
- Familiarity with GenAI platforms, copilots, conversational interfaces, or AI-assisted workflows
- Knowledge of cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP

- Role: AI Engineer (Front End)
- Rate: £560 per day
- IR35: Inside IR35
- Duration: 12 months
- Location: Remote, with occasional travel to London
- Clearance: BPSS Eligible
- Start: ASAP
