Build AI that Matters

About the Role

You get to build AI that actually matters, inside a firm whose profits go to charity.

This asset manager manages $60 billion in assets and is owned in perpetuity by a philanthropic foundation. There are no outside shareholders, no parent bank, and no pressure to chase short-term targets. The firm has been quietly excellent for decades, and the work you do here ultimately funds good in the world.

About the Team

The tech team is around 100 people inside a firm of 400. You sit within that team but spend your time embedded with the business, working directly alongside the people who run client and operational functions day to day.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Key Responsibilities

This is not about automating small tasks or tidying up workflows at the edges. You are expected to look at things end to end, think with imagination, and identify where AI can genuinely transform how people work.

You will build lightweight tools and automations, work hands-on with agentic workflows, MCP, prompt engineering and AI-assisted coding, and know when something needs handing off to the wider engineering team rather than solved quickly in isolation.

Skills and Experience

The conversations you have matter as much as the code you write. You will be working with non-technical people constantly, so the ability to listen, translate and communicate clearly is just as important as your technical ability.
