About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled AI Engineer to join our innovative team remotely from the UK. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of AI, Generative AI, and Data science. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying full-stack applications that integrate advanced AI functionalities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and data scientists, to develop solutions that are both scalable and impactful. The role emphasizes rapid prototyping, agile development, and a hands-on approach to building innovative AI-powered products. The position is based in Bristol, with flexible hybrid working arrangements to support work-life balance and productivity.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of professional experience in software development, with a strong background in full-stack development using TypeScript. Proven expertise in deploying and managing cloud-native solutions on AWS is essential, along with experience in rapid prototyping and AI-assisted workflows. Familiarity with AI, Generative AI, and data-driven projects is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities are required to facilitate effective collaboration and project delivery. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for innovation, continuous learning, and the ability to adapt to new tools and frameworks quickly. A portfolio of side projects, prototypes, or contributions to open-source projects will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy full-stack applications using TypeScript, ensuring high quality and maintainability.
- Architect, implement, and maintain cloud-native solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and DynamoDB.
- Rapidly prototype new ideas and proofs of concept, utilizing AI and Generative AI tools to accelerate development cycles ("vibe coding").
- Integrate AI, Generative AI, and data-driven features into existing and new products to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Participate actively in Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and iterative releases.
- Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to translate concepts into working software solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and demonstrate progress through regular updates.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code, and participate in code reviews to maintain high standards.
- Stay updated with emerging tools, frameworks, and AI capabilities to continuously improve development velocity and product quality.
- Take ownership of features from initial concept through to deployment and ongoing iteration, ensuring timely delivery and performance.

Essential
Key Technical Skills Required
- At least three years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong full-stack development skills with TypeScript, covering both front-end and back-end development.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and DynamoDB.
- Proven ability in rapid prototyping and AI-assisted workflows, including "vibe coding".
- Experience working with AI, Generative AI, and data projects, including relevant tooling and frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and team collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment from Bristol, maintaining productivity and collaboration.
Desirable
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Next.js.
- Knowledge of Large Language Model (LLM) APIs and Generative AI frameworks like OpenAI, Anthropic, or LangChain.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CDK or Terraform.
- Experience with data pipelines, databases, or analytics tools.
- A portfolio, GitHub repository, or examples of side projects or prototypes demonstrating your skills.
