AI Engineer - LLM & Agentic Systems

Location: London - Hybrid.
Salary: Circa £600 to £650 per day (and negotiable DOE)
Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35)
Company: Agentic AI / LLM's

Our client is a globally established data and information services business, operating across multiple high-value industry sectors. They have established data science and machine learning engineering teams already delivering in production, and are now expanding their AI capability significantly across the global organisation.

This is a role for people who ship. If you've built LLM-powered systems and agentic workflows that are live in production - not demos, not prototypes - and you want to do that at genuine scale, this is worth applying for.

What you'll be working on as an AI Engineer - LLM & Agentic Systems:

  • Designing and building AI agents and agentic workflows - combining LLMs, RAG, reasoning, memory and tool orchestration to solve real, complex business problems.
  • Owning delivery end-to-end - from initial exploration through to production deployment, integration and ongoing iteration.
  • Working with MCP-style architectures (FastMCP/FastAPI) and LangChain/LangGraph or equivalent frameworks to build reliable, scalable systems.
  • Integrating AI into products, APIs and core business workflows - with a sharp eye on latency, cost and real-world usability.
  • Collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure systems are observable, maintainable and built to last.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About you:

  • You'll likely have a Masters or higher in a mathematical, scientific or computer science discipline. More importantly, you've built things that are used - and you can explain clearly why you made the decisions you did.
  • At senior and lead level, we're looking for people who take strong ownership, mentor others naturally and can drive complete workflows and projects from brief through to delivery. A background in SaaS, B2B AI products or large-scale AI transformation is a strong signal.
  • Ambitious, but a genuine team player - you raise the bar without making it about yourself.

If you're building serious AI systems and want to do it at scale within a well-established global business, we'd welcome a conversation.
