AI Engineer (.NET, Kafka) – Contract

Location: London / Coventry – Hybrid (2-3 days in office)

Duration: 6–12 months

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer with 10+ years of software engineering experience to design and deliver enterprise-scale AI solutions. You’ll work across.NET, Kafka, Generative AI, distributed systems and cloud technologies, helping build intelligent, scalable and real-time applications.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

  • Design and develop AI-powered applications using C#,.NET Core/.NET 6/7/8 and ASP.NET Core
  • Build scalable microservices and event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka
  • Integrate LLMs, Generative AI, NLP and machine learning into enterprise applications
  • Design RAG solutions, AI orchestration frameworks and vector database integrations
  • Develop REST APIs, backend services and reusable components
  • Build secure, resilient cloud-native solutions across Azure or AWS
  • Implement CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring and production support practices
  • Apply clean architecture, DDD, design patterns and engineering best practices
  • Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or similar platforms is desirable
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor engineers
